Wayside 16 Takdah Heritage Bungalow is a mixture of heritage experience along with modern day hospitality. There are 5 rooms for guests in this property, where guests will have to stay along with the hosts in the same building. Beautiful architecture along with old style items, old photographs from 1st World War time will definitely fulfill your mind with joy and happiness.
The bungalow is older than over a century, but are well maintained and kept intact with upgraded modern facilities for staying guests. Hot water geysers, well furnished western styled bathrooms, fireplace and kitchen with dining.
There is a spacious English styled porch and a lawn. The food served by the kitchen is purely home cooked delectable Indian cuisine and organically sourced from local markets. On special request of the guests continental dishes and barbecues are also served.Â
How to reach
You can reach Takdah from NJP Railway station or Bagdogra airport. It is around 90 KM from Siliguri and takes around 3 - 4 hours through the beautiful picturesque road. It is around 30 KM from Darjeeling town and takes around 1 - 1.5 hour to reach here by car.
